All RoseGold cleaners must operate in a safe, respectful, and hazard-free environment.
Safety always comes before completing a task or meeting a schedule.
2. Entry & Access Safety
• The cleaner must confirm safe access before entering any home.
• If the cleaner feels unsafe or senses hostility, they may refuse entry.
• Clear walkways must be available before cleaning begins.
3. Home Environment Requirements
The home MUST NOT contain:
• Hazardous waste (medical waste, bodily fluids, used needles).
• Severe mould infestations requiring specialised remediation.
• Animal feces or urine at unsafe levels.
• Heavy hoarding (floor not visible, pathways blocked).
• Dangerous pests (rats, bees, aggressive animals).
4. Hoarding & Extreme Clutter Rules
RoseGold cleaners cannot enter or clean homes with:
• Severe hoarding (Level 3–5).
• Blocked access to rooms.
• Rotten food accumulation.
• Infestations caused by hoarding.
Such cases require specialist biohazard or hoarder-cleaning services.
5. Pet Safety Rules
• Pets must be secured before cleaning begins.
• Cleaners may decline service if a pet is aggressive or unsafe.
• Cleaners do not clean up pet-related biohazard waste.
6. Chemical & Equipment Safety
• Cleaners must only use approved cleaning products.
• Strong chemicals must not be mixed.
• Cleaners must stop immediately if fumes cause discomfort.
• Broken or unsafe equipment must not be used.
7. Personal Safety for Cleaners
Cleaners should immediately leave the property if:
• There is violence, aggression, or threatening behaviour.
• Illegal substances or activities are present.
• There are individuals under the influence causing unsafe conditions.
• They feel uncomfortable or unsafe for ANY reason.
RoseGold will always support cleaner discretion.
8. Physical Safety & Injury Prevention
• Cleaners must not lift heavy furniture.
• Ladders above the standard 2-step height are not permitted.
• Electrical appliances must not be used around water.
• Slippery floors must be dried before walking.
9. Infection Control Rules
• If someone in the home has a contagious illness (COVID, flu, gastro), cleaning must be rescheduled.
• Cleaners must use PPE if any infection risk is disclosed.
• Cleaners do not clean bodily fluids, medical waste, or vomit.
10. Safety for the Free 3-Hour Clean Winners
Before confirming a winner, RoseGold must ensure:
• The home is safe and suitable for general cleaning.
• No hoarding or biohazard conditions are present.
• Pets are secured during the appointment.
• The nominee agrees to safety guidelines.
11. Cleaner Rights
Every cleaner has the right to:
• Refuse unsafe tasks.
• Stop cleaning if a situation becomes unsafe.
• Report hazards without fear of penalty.
• Request assistance or support.
RoseGold guarantees protection for all employees and contractors.
12. Client Responsibilities
Clients must:
• Provide safe and respectful environments.
• Secure pets during cleaning.
• Disclose any health risks or contagious illnesses.
• Avoid requesting unsafe tasks (heavy lifting, mould, biohazards).
13. Incident Reporting Procedure
If any safety issue occurs:
1. Cleaner stops work immediately.
2. Cleaner reports incident to RoseGold admin.
3. Photos or notes are collected for record.
4. RoseGold management reviews and decides next steps.
5. Service may be discontinued depending on severity.
14. Acknowledgement
By accepting a cleaning service or nomination, clients and winners agree to follow RoseGold’s safety rules.
RoseGold Cleaning & Maintenance reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if safety concerns arise.
